My name is Roby Althaus and I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. After graduating from Catalina Foothills High School, I decided to attend my hometown's college, The University of Arizona, to pursue my dream as an elementary school teacher.  I graduated from the University of Arizona in December 2016 with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, as well as an endorsement in English as a Second Language.  

I had the greatest opportunity to student teach in a first grade classroom at Manzanita Elementary alongside an exceptional mentor teacher.  In addition to my student teaching, I completed a long-term substitute position in the third grade at Manzanita as well.  So although this is my first official year of teaching, the Manzanita community has already become a very familiar and special place.

This school year has already taken off with a great start and I am looking forward to getting to know your children even more, both individually and academically.
